Mental Health and Psychotherapy and Counselling Services

South Coast Wellness provides mental health and psychotherapy services to all individuals 16 years of age or over. We also provide family therapy. The highest quality of service is provided by our multidisciplinary team comprised of registered nurses, social workers, psychotherapists. Our service is supported by both psychological and psychiatric consultants. We provide assessments, and goal-focused treatment. Our staff have expertise in several evidence-based treatments and extensive experience in a number of areas including but not limited to depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma, grief, and risk-taking behaviours. Services can be enhanced by the addition of peer support and advocacy from our Resources for Hope program.

Telemedicine provides non-emergency

The South Coast Wellness Telemedicine Program offers community-based, non-emergency psychiatric consultation services for adults 16 + who are dealing with mental health or addiction concerns. Our team, comprising experienced Registered Nurses and Psychiatrists, provides one-time consultations for diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations.  Using a case-management approach, we ensure service coordination and facilitate referrals to both internal and external community resources. Telemedicine is an innovative solution that bridges geographical disparities, enhancing access to psychiatric care. Our service is delivered in real-time through a secure videoconferencing platform.  A referral from a family physician or primary care provider is required, and the service is free of charge.
